Carissima famiglia mia,
Ciao Tutti! What the goodness... you are going to Kiawah... even as I type!! How fun!! I hope you have the best times! I am soooo excited I get to talk to you on sunday!! How perfect, then I will get to have a little taste of kiawah... it will be like I am there, almost!
Well funny thing that Verona reminds me so much of Charleston. It even smells like charleston if you know what I mean ;) It is getting really humid and hot! And of course raining a lot! This is exactly the same time of year I was here in Italy when I came for study abroad so I am getting ready for the hot! We are quite the sight as missionaries when we show up at appointments either completely soaked because of a random rain storm, or completely sweaty... Maybe thats why people say no to us... huh. ;)
Well this week we have just been plugging along. We are still working hard to help the Meneghini family be ready to be baptized and to help our other Investigators progress. We have quite a few investigators that are eternal or quickly becoming eternal which is hard. They know it is true but there is just something that keeps them from getting bapti zed and taking that step of faith. We are working to help them develop this faith and their own testimonies.
We of course see miracles each day which remind me constantly how Heavenly Father is aware of each of us. For example, Last P-day we decided to do a little shopping. We walked into a tisana shop and there was just us and the store owner. Of course we chatted with her and told her that she had a really fun job. She replied "You have a wonderful job too, You're missionaries right? What is it exactly that you do?" Well those questions are music to a missionaries ears! We went on to tell her what we do, who we represent and what our message is about. She is very believing and really listened to what we had to say. In the end we were even able to say a prayer right there with her in her store. It was a really neat P-day miracle! Yesterday we got lost for about 2 hours because we took a street that put us on the freeway... very bad idea. We finally were able to get off and had to walk through a vineyard in the middle of no where until we found someone we could ask for directions. We really were super close to Verona but had just gotten turned around... how dumb ;) But the work goes on and we have sooo much fun doing it!
I love you, I love you all! My dear friend jess emailed me this week and sent me this quote:"In my 90 plus years, I have learned a secret. I have learned that when good men and good women face challenges with optimism, things will always work out! Truly, things always work out! Despite how difficult circumstances may look at the moment, those who have faith and move forward with a happy spirit will find that things always work out." -President Gordon B. Hinckley
I know this is true, If we just keep on keeping on... Heavenly Father takes care of the rest! Keep the faith my family! I love you and will talk to you sunday! Yahoo!
